Jailbirds, pianos and a whole new look...

''Unplayed pianos are often by a window...

...in a room where nobody loved goes

...she sits alone with her silent song.
Somebody bring her home...

...Unplayed piano, still holds a tune.
Lock on the lid, years, years pass by...

...in a stale, stale room,
in the changing of the moon...

... Maybe it's not that easy or maybe it's not that hard...
... Maybe they could release me
let people decide
I've got nothing to hide
i've done nothing wrong
So why have I been here for so long?''

Wow this turned creepier than I expected. But I quite like those photos. They look as if they're stills form an old horror movie to me. It's the first time, actually, that I like photos of mine that much!
Well, I hope you like them too. (Oh and some apologies, I had uploaded another one photo but I deleted accidentally. Constance, you queen of silliness!  Anyway I'll post it some other time.)

Moving on. As you may notice it, I kinda changed the appearance of the blog. I made the collage which is now the heading and the backround color is now white and not grey.
So I really want to now what YOU think about it, I mean the whole new look of the blog.  If you're displeased I'll redo it the way it was before, I promise!

I think that was all for today. Gosh, my posts are getting smaller and smaller... I'm sorry dearies. Oh! I also wanted to thank everybody for their lovely lovely comments. They encourage me so much!

Au revoir!
xx

Peeeeeee. s : I have a recommendation for you as well. You should listen to M. Ward's new album ''Hold Time'' if you don't already have. It's so so addictive- the song 'Jailbird' in particular! Ok, it's not as great as ''Volume One''  but it's  almost equally lovely!

17 raindrops:

  1. They are lovely...and I thought the same thing (that they looked as if they came out of an old horror film).
    Hope you are well!

  2. :D Lovely photos! They remind me of pictures you'd find in an old trunk up in a dusty attic!

"Unplayed pianos are often by a window...in a room where nobody loved goes.."

These words make me feel guilty about my own piano which has been sitting patiently in the living room!

---> Is inspired to take photos of it!

I like the new heading by the way ^___^

  11. Those photos and your words that coincided with them are enchanting, eerily enchanting. There is a melancholic quality that I love about it as well, and you should be proud of these photos because they are beautiful! And your new layout is wonderful dear, I really love your header, especially that middle picture.
    Au revoir dear <3

  15. Definitely love, love, LOVE the collage as the header - it encapsulates your beautiful blog perfectly. Bizarrely, I didn't find these pictures black-and-whitehorror-movie-esque at all... perhaps the first thing I saw was the Unplayed Piano lyrics, and I love that song, it's so warm and comforting but wistful and sad, too! I whole-heartedly agree with you concerning The Edge of Love - completely despite the fact that Vera was betraying her best friend, Dylan Thomas wasn't exactly a tempting forbidden fruit when you had the heroic gentleman lover William! *Gosh.* Silly Keira indeed! And I'm so glad you like the Cambridge bluebells too! xxx
