Magic of the melancholy tear in your eye

- a little story-

Once upon a time, there was a little girl. She wore her favorite dress and her brand new shoes. Oh, how beautiful she thought she looked. However, though, nobody wanted to keep her company this chilly afternoon. She felt so bored... and lonely,  for the first time in her life.

After spending long, long moments sitting on her bench, she got up and went to find her lantern. She found it right where she left it, this morning. She asked it if it wants to spent the afternoon with her. The lantern replied yes of course but the young girl soon grew bored of it. The poor lantern, it had never many things to say...

She, then, attempted to start a conversation with the tree leaves. ''How are you little, sharp tree leaves?'' she asked. No reply came from them. ''Why don't you say something? Can you not talk? Can you not hear?'' Nothing. After a few more question, she gave up and started moving away, still wondering...

Suddenly, something moving in a nearby bush caught her eye.

She went closer to see.  It was a small colorful butterfly! ...but one of her wings was broken and she could not fly. ''Oh, poor little butterfly!'' she said, sadly ''it must be terrible for you to be unable to fly, but don't worry I'll try to fix your wing as soon as possible and you then can go home''
She carefully picked up her new friend and carried her back on her bench. And while she was taking care of her hurt wing the butterfly told her its story, which unfortunately I can not tell out loud as it asked be kept as a secret...

A few hours later, after their long conversation, it was for the butterfly to go back home and for her to say goodbye to her little unusual friend...

''Fly away, dear, fly away'' she said in whisper....

But it was time for her to return home too. She went and picked her old lantern, which always forgives her leaving it alone for so many hours, she then lied down on her bench and fell asleep, very quickly. Sweet dreams little girl...

(My sister and I did another one photo shoot a few days ago.  I suggest enlarging the pictures to see them clearly. I don't know why, but my photographs always look so strange on blogspot. In terms of quality mostly.., Anyways, words are written by me too, obviously because they're so very silly!)

''The Heart of Saturday Night''

Well you gassed her up
behind the wheel
with your arm around your sweet one
in your oldsmobile
Barrelin' down the boulevard
you're looking for the heart of Saturday night

And you got paid on Friday
And your pockets are jinglin'
And you see the lights
You get all tinglin' cause you're cruisin' with a 6
And you're looking for the heart of Saturday night

Then you comb hair
shave your face
tryin' to wipe out every trace
All the other days
in the week you know this'll be the Saturday
you're reachin' your peak

Stoppin' on the red
your goin' on the green
'cause tonight will be lik nothin'
you've ever seen
and you're barrelin' down the boulevard
lookin' for the heart of Saturday night

Tell me is the crack of the poolballs, neon buzzin'?
Telephone's ringin', it's your second cousin
Is it the barmaid that's smilin' from the corner of her eye?
Magic of the melancholy tear in your eye.

Makes it kind of quiver down in the core
'cause you're dreaming of them Saturdays that came before
and now you're stumblin'
stumblin' onto the heart of Saturday night

- a great, sad and jazzy song by my beloved Tom Waits, my current favorite. You should definitely listen to it-

Also:

- I made this playlist the other day, while wishing to be nowhere else but on a quiet beach, listening to the waves

- I learned about the cast of Christopher Nolan's new movie called ''Inception''. I'm not a big fan of his but I'm very excited about this movie, because of the amazing actors they'll be in it!

- I'm in love with this blog!

and finally a drawing I did today
(I should really buy me a scanner, the quality is so weird!)

I'm sad, I'm very, very sad! School starts again tomorrow, that's why...
I hope you lovelies are feeling better than me. I'm sure you are!

Au revoir
